Identification and distribution of alleles of hybrid necrosis gene Ne1 in bread wheat varieties (Triticum aestivum L.) of Ukraine

Abstract

Aim. Identification of compliance with between certain alleles locus Xbarc74-5B and different in strength gene alleles Ne1, and their distribution of among the wheat varieties of Ukrainian breeding. Methods. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), PAAgel-electrophoresis. Results. 161 genotypes of bread wheat varieties from Ukraine breeding were identified by the locus Xbarc74-5В closely linked to hybrid necrosis gene Ne1. Conclusions. Compliance with the alleles Xbarc74-5B of different in strength gene alleles hybrid necrosis Ne1 was found: 162 bp, 156 bp and 154 bp – ne1, 174 bp and 164 bp – Ne1^w, 160 bp – Ne1^m, 166 bp and 158 bp – Ne1^s. The distribution of identified gene alleles Ne1 among wheat varieties Ukrainian breeding was showed.
