Abstract

Information is provided about the formation of the personality and scientific achievements of the talented and famous Ukrainian scientist Shkorbatov Yurii Georgievich – cytogeneticist and biophysicist, Doctor of Biological Sciences. Until the last days of his life, he headed the Department of Phytopathology and Mycology of the Faculty of Biology of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Department of Genetics of the Institute of Biology of the Kharkiv National University. The article is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the scientist's birthday.
