On the occasion of the joint XX International Scientific Conference “Factors in experimental evolution of organisms” and XI congress of the Vavilov society of geneticists and breeders of Ukraine

Abstract

The article briefly analyzes some data on the first twenty (I – XX) International Scientific Conferences “Factors in Experimental Evolution of Organisms”, founded by the Vavilov Society of Geneticists and Breeders of Ukraine in 2003. The article presents information about the main scientific topics of each conference, where it was held, when it was held, and how many people attended. It also includes data on the countries whose scientists were there as well as the dates and anniversaries of prominent scientists who were honored at each conference. It is emphasized that before each conference, a collection of scientific papers entitled “Factors in Experimental Evolution of Organisms”, which included the materials submitted to the conference, was published. Beginning in 2008, the publication of the collection has been consistent, with two volumes released annually. Each volume contained a minimum of 20 conventional printed sheet, with some volumes exceeding 40 sheets. To date, 37 volumes of this periodical have been published. The periodical “Factors in Experimental Evolution of Organisms” is included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine in the field of biological sciences (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of 06.11.2014, No. 1279) and is indexed in the International Database.
