Abstract

The article summarizes the results of the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference "Theory and Practice of Improving the Genetic Resources of Farm Animals" dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence and the 110th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Igor Smirnov (1911 - 1993). The conference was held on August 19, 2021, at the M.V. Zubets Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which was attended by more than 60 scientists from various scientific institutions and higher education institutions. The course of the conference, its scientific program and scientific reports presented at the conference are reviewed (http://iabg.org.ua/index.php/news/557-23082021).
