The aim of the journal is:
- to provide an open-access platform for publishing original research in genetics and breeding;
- to promote the development of modern methodological approaches in genetic, breeding, and biotechnological research; and
- to support scientists, practitioners, breeders, and medical professionals working in these fields.
The objectives of the journal are:
- promoting new directions and methods in genetic, breeding, and biotechnological research;
- providing information about congresses, conferences, and scientific meetings; publishing reviews and information on new scientific publications; highlighting outstanding figures of Ukrainian science;
- reporting on major events in the activities of the Vavylov Ukrainian Society of Geneticists and Breeders, including the work of its Presidium and regional branches, as well as the achievements of its members.
